Creating a pedestrian network andadding new value to elevation differences

The area around Shibuya Station is a valley, with buildings and facilities on multiple levels and many steps, making it difficult to move around smoothly.
Therefore, we decided to create new vertical and horizontal circulation routes that connect the above-ground and underground areas in a three-dimensional manner, and to develop a pedestrian network that is easy for everyone to walk on and that makes people want to walk.
Based on detailed field surveys,
Imagine people walking through Shibuya in the future.

Taking advantage of the difference in elevation of the valley, we organically connect the station, the town, and the people.
Aiming to create a "Shibuya Street" that is fun to walk around.
We are working to develop a pedestrian network that is easy for everyone to walk on and that makes people want to walk.
