Decarbonization Management
PACIFIC CONSULTANTS GROUP
Declares Our Decarbonization Management "Pacific Net Zero."
PACIFIC CONSULTANTS GROUP was one of the first to begin consulting on climate change measures after establishment of Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) in 1988, and has been involved in a wide range of consulting and business related to the environment, energy, and other areas both domestically and internationally for over 30 years.
In light of the accelerating global movement toward environmental management (decarbonization management) and the government's carbon neutral declaration in October 2020, we declare "Pacific Net Zero" based on the following two pillars, which shows our group's stance and expresses our strong determination to contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions through our business.

-
Achieve Net-zero Greenhouse Gas Emissions for the Group by 2030
To further deepen our environmental management and achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions for the Group, we will take concrete actions such as accelerating our efforts in energy-saving measures, renewable energy generation and use, and promoting new working styles, and will disclose our progress in a timely and appropriate manner.

-
Contribute to Achieving Net-zero Greenhouse Gas Emissions in Japan by 2050
Leveraging our many years of experience in policy-making related to decarbonization and our extensive engineering track record, we will support the transition to decarbonization of social infrastructure and our customers' businesses through total design and one-stop services, from strategy planning to on-site implementation for cities, regions, and companies, and contribute to the realization of a decarbonized, sustainable society through a virtuous cycle between the environment and the economy.
"Pacific Net Zero" Action Policy
~2030: Aiming for Net-zero Greenhouse Gas Emissions for the Group~
1. We give priority to products and services that produce less greenhouse gas emissions.
- Paperless, green purchasing, waste reduction and sorting, promotion of the 3Rs
- Use of public transport, shift from planes to trains for short distances, choice of HV/EV/FCV
- Effective use of web conferences
2. We will promote the reduction of electricity usage and the realization of zero emissions from power sources.
- Promoting energy-saving measures for office air conditioning, lighting, computers, etc.
- Utilizing renewable energy in collaboration with building owners
3. We will disclose our environmental management policies and information, and work with stakeholders to make improvements.
- Calculating Greenhouse Gas Emissions and monitoring Pacific Net Zero
- Alliances with partners who share the same vision for decarbonization
- Supporting decarbonization of collaborators
~2050: Towards Achieving Net-zero Greenhouse Gas Emissions in Japan~
4. We will strive to propose decarbonization in all our businesses and operations.
- Proposal for decarbonization of infrastructure throughout its life cycle
- Proposals aimed at achieving the 1.5 degree target *
*Limit the increase in global average temperature to 1.5℃ compared to pre-industrial levels
5. We will promote the development and introduction of innovative technologies related to decarbonization.
- Energy management (microgrids, etc.)
- High-quality carbon offsets (credits) and carbon sink measures
- Visualization methods that contribute to the decarbonization of infrastructure and regions (visualization of emissions, costs, etc.)
6. We will comply with and promote all applicable laws and regulations relating to environmental conservation and measures against global warming.
