PACIFIC CONSULTANTS DE&I Declaration

PACIFIC CONSULTANTS has its roots in "Pacific Consultants. Inc.", which was established in 1951 by Japanese and American engineers to contribute to the reconstruction of Japan, and has developed by leveraging the diversity and comprehensive strength of its technical fields. In order to realize our group vision of "Producing the Future," it is important to respect the different knowledge, experience, values, and individuality of each employee, and to create new value by maximizing and integrating the power of individuals and teams.

Through the new value and innovation created by our diverse talent, we will contribute to the realization of our group vision and ultimately to the sustainable development of society as a whole.

Defining Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at PACIFIC CONSULTANTS

  • Diversity refers to the various differences (individuality) that define a person. There are superficial differences such as age, gender, race/ethnicity, and disability, and deeper differences such as knowledge, experience, expertise, skills, values and ways of thinking, religion, sexual orientation, and gender identity. We respect not only the deeper knowledge diversity such as knowledge, experience, and expertise that leads to value creation, but also all of the individual differences that each person possesses, recognizing that all of their individual differences shape who they are.
  • Equity means creating a work environment where each individual can fully utilize their potential. We provide support and proactive opportunities according to the situation to ensure that fair opportunities and success are not hindered by unconscious bias or industry-specific working styles.
  • Inclusion means embracing and incorporating diverse differences (individuality) to make them the strength of the organization. To achieve our group vision of "Producing the Future," we will create a psychologically safe workplace where each individual can maximize their potential and teamwork, leading to new value and change.

Promotion Structure

With President at the helm and Executive Officer in charge of Human Resources and General Affairs, we have appointed a DE&I Promotion Project Manager (General Affairs Dept.). Based on discussions in the cross-departmental DE&I Project Team, the relevant organization will implement various measures and lead company-wide activities.

Four Pillars of DE&I Efforts

1. Understanding the nature of DE&I

PCKK will further develop the D&I culture that we have cultivated to date and promote understanding that new value is created not only by diverse expertise, but also by being receptive to diverse human resources, values, and diverse opinions and dissenting opinions that go beyond positions, titles, and organizations, as well as by ensuring fairness for individuals.

2. Providing fair opportunities to support the success of diverse human resources

We provide the necessary support and proactive opportunities to succeed, based on the perspective of equity, and tailored to each individual's circumstances, such as age, gender, nationality, and life stage.

3. Creating a psychologically safe workplace

In order to maximize the potential of individuals and teams, smooth communication within the team and a workplace with a high level of psychological safety are essential. Therefore, in addition to human resource development that develops each individual, we will promote the development of leaders and changes in awareness and behavior so that we can strengthen organizational development that influences relationships between people.

4. Creating new value by integrating knowledge and experience

In order to create value for society, we will foster a mindset in which the knowledge and experience of diverse individuals is treated as knowledge for the entire company, and will strengthen the sharing and utilization of various types of knowledge that form the basis of our business, building internal communities, strengthening collaboration with different industries and academic institutions, and creating systems.


PCKK have formulated these as our "DE&I Promotion Policy." Aiming to create an environment where each individual can perform at their best, we will steadily implement various measures under a promotion system headed by President.
