Pacific Consultants Group (hereinafter referred to as “the Group”) has adopted as its mission ,that we continue to provide new value to the society through advanced integrated solution services focused on infrastructure engineering,
guided by its vision “To realize an affluent life without disparity, where no one in the world is threatened.
To protect our beautiful planet, the source of all life, and its environment, and passing it on to future generations.”
Our Group’s vision and mission can only be realized if the human rights of all individuals involved in our Group’s business activities are respected. Our Group recognizes that respect for human rights is the foundation for putting our mission into practice and contributing to the realization of a sustainable society, and that it is a critical responsibility to be fulfilled throughout all of our business activities.
In light of the above, to clearly demonstrate our commitment to respecting human rights through our business activities and to further contribute to the realization of prosperous lives for all, our Group’s Board of Directors hereby adopts the following Human Rights Policy (hereinafter referred to as “this Policy”).
1. Scope of Application
This policy applies to all officers and employees of our group. We also request that all business partners, including collaborators, partner companies, JV partners, and suppliers, understand and respect this policy, and act in accordance with their spirits.
2. Basic Stance on Respect to Human Rights
Our Group will fulfill our responsibility to respect human rights in accordance with international standards, including the United Nations “Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights” (UNGPs). In addition to complying with the laws and regulations of each country and region where our Group is applicable, we respect internationally recognized human rights, including the “International Bill of Human Rights (the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the International Covenants on Human Rights)” and the “ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work”. When faced with conflicting requirements between laws and regulations and internationally recognized human rights, we will seek ways to maximize respect for international human rights principles while complying with laws and regulations.
We recognize that our Group's business activities related to social infrastructure services in which we are involved engage diverse stakeholders at every stage and may give rise to various human rights issues. Our Group will promote initiatives to respect human rights while striving to engage in meaningful dialogue with these stakeholders.
3. Main Initiatives regarding Respect to Human Rights
As part of our commitment to respecting human rights based on this policy, our Group will particularly promote the following:
(1) Implementation of human rights due diligence
Our Group will continuously implement a “human rights due diligence” process to identify and assess potential or actual adverse impacts on human rights that may arise through our business activities and business relationships; work to halt, prevent, and mitigate such impacts; track and evaluate the effectiveness of our responses; and disclose information appropriately.
(2) Operation of corrective or remedial measures and complaint handling mechanisms
If it becomes clear that our Group is causing or contributing to adverse impacts on human rights through our business activities or business relationships, we will work for correction of those impacts and provide remedies to the victims. Furthermore, to enable prompt rectification and redress, we will establish consultation and reporting desks accessible to both internal and external stakeholders and work to implement effective complaint-handling mechanisms.
(3) Implementation of training and education about human rights
To promote understanding and implementation of this policy, our Group will provide ongoing training and education to our executives and employees, and will inform and support our business partners.
4. Promotion Structure and Governance
Our Group will establish a group-wide and cross-departmental promotion structure to promote initiatives for respecting human rights in accordance with this policy, and will regularly monitor the implementation status of this policy under the supervision of Board of Directors.
5. Information Disclosure
Our Group will disclose information regarding its initiatives to respect human rights under this policy, as well as the progress made in those initiatives, through its website and other appropriate channels.
6. Continuous Improvement
Our Group will continuously review and improve this policy and related initiatives in light of changes in our Group's business activities, social trends, and international demands.

External Reporting Hotline
Our Group is a regular member of the general incorporated association, Japan Center for Engagement and Remedy on Business and Human Rights (JaCER), in order to receive complaints and inquiries about human rights, mainly from outside the company.
Through JaCER's third-party hotline, we will endeavor to respond appropriately, ensuring fairness and transparency, to inquiries and reports regarding human rights from all stakeholders involved in the business activities of our Group.
