Concept of the work:
SAGA Sunrise Park, Eiko Bridge, and the west plaza of Saga City Cultural Center were all developed as an area to create new value, in the wake of the SAGA2024 National Sports and All-Area Sports, which was held in Saga Prefecture in 2024. A unified landscape was created by overcoming numerous barriers, such as the prefecture and city, the management divisions for architecture and civil engineering, and separate orders from designers and builders. The handrail lighting on the pedestrian deck functions as a "connecting light" for the entire area, allowing people to move around and enjoy sports at night, and the exterior lighting also changes during events, entertaining visitors.

Commentary:
The plan spans the scale of a land development, and boasts a multifaceted nature that could potentially revitalize the area as a facility. The pedestrian deck connecting the adjacent facilities uses seamless handrail lighting, creating a modern, calming and reassuring circulation effect. The exterior lighting, which echoes the bold architectural design, has succeeded in creating a quiet yet urban landmark, and the rhythmic lighting of the colonnades on the first floor is an impressive introduction that creates a sense of anticipation for the dynamic arena facility.
