Set Science Based Targets (SBT) for Greenhouse Gas Reduction

PACIFIC CONSULTANTS CO., LTD. (address: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, President and Representative Director: Tomoyuki SHIGENAGA) is pleased to announce that it has submitted a letter of commitment to the "SBT Initiative" ("SBTi"), an organization that certifies Emission Reduction Targets "Science Based Targets" ("SBT") of Greenhouse Gas that are scientifically consistent with the goals set by Paris Agreement, and has become a committed company. We are pleased to announce that we have submitted a letter of commitment to the SBTi and have become a committed company.

SBTi is an international initiative jointly Establishment launched in 2015 by CDP, the UN Global Compact, WRI (World Resources Institute), and WWF (World Wildlife Fund) to promote science-based greenhouse gas Emission Reduction Targets achievement, which is a global standard for goal setting in line with Paris Agreement.

In June 2021, Pacific Consultants Group declared decarbonization management "Pacific Net Zero" and set a long-term goal to reduce the Group's greenhouse gas emissions to virtually zero by 2030 and to contribute to the reduction of Greenhouse Gas Emissions in Japan through our business. As part of these activities, we will work to acquire SBT certification in the future.
