Declare PACIFIC CONSULTANTS' Decarbonization Management "Pacific Net Zero"
The Group was one of the first to begin consulting on climate change measures after Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) was established in 1988, and has been involved in a wide range of consulting and business related to the environment, energy, and other areas both in Japan and overseas for over 30 years.
In light of the accelerating global movement toward environmental management (decarbonization management) and the government's carbon neutral declaration in October 2020, we declare "Pacific Net Zero" based on the following two pillars, demonstrating our group's stance and our strong determination to contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions through our business.
1. Achieve Net Zero Greenhouse Gas Emissions for the Group by 2030
To further deepen our environmental management and achieve net-zero Greenhouse Gas Emissions for the Group, we will take concrete actions such as accelerating our efforts in Energy-saving Measures, renewable energy generation and use, and promoting new working styles, and will disclose our progress in a timely and appropriate manner.
2. Contribute to Achieving Net-Zero Greenhouse Gas Emissions in Japan by 2050
Leveraging our many years of experience in policy-making related to decarbonization and our extensive engineering track record, we will support the transition to decarbonization of social infrastructure and our customers' businesses through total design and one-stop services, from strategy planning to on-site implementation for cities, regions, and companies, and contribute to the realization of a decarbonized, sustainable society through a virtuous cycle between the environment and the economy.
