PACIFIC CONSULTANTS CO., LTD. (Address: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, President Executive Officer: Osamu OMOTO) has been appointed 3 employees as "Analysis Supporters" for the Strategic Platform for Infrastructure Value Enhancement (hereinafter referred to as "SPIVE") by collaboration among industry, academia and government promoted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. The SPIVE aims to maximize the stock effect of social capital development by having supporters (training supporters and analysis supporters) for the strategic platform for infrastructure value enhancement to provide training and analytical support to employees of local governments and other organizations that request support.
Three employees from our company who specialize in transport network analysis, transport behavior analysis, and economic analysis of transportation infrastructure have been appointed as "Analysis Supporters." The "Analysis Supporters" will provide technical advice on analytical methods for stock effect analysis and how to present and interpret the analysis results.

■What is SPIVE?
SPIVE is a platform that provides support aimed at maximizing the stock effect of social capital development. Through collaboration among industry, academia, and government, it analyzes stock effects to "Produce Results," and provides human resource development and technical advice on maximizing effects. Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism selects and announces "Supporters for Strategic Infrastructure Value Enhancement" who provide support to employees of local public organizations. The support provided by "Supporters for Strategic Infrastructure Value Enhancement" is divided into "Training Supporters" and "Analysis Support Supporters."

The stock effect of social infrastructure is a continuous, mid- to long-term benefit that can be obtained immediately after construction and as a result of the functioning of developed social capital. It has the effect of increasing the productivity of society's base, including "Safety and Security Effects" such as improved earthquake resistance and reduced flood risk, "Quality of Life Improvements" such as improved living environments and amenities, and "Productivity Improvements" such as reduced travel time. For over 70 years, we have been providing technical services related to the construction and maintenance of social infrastructure.
