(Address: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, President Executive Officer: Osamu OMOTO) has announced that the Tsukuba Research Center was selected for Tokyo Cross Lab "Open Innovation Promotion Project Utilizing Assets Held by Large Companies, etc." sponsored by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government (hereinafter referred to as "this Project"). The Tokyo Cross Lab aims to promote open innovation by matching large companies that own research and development facilities and equipment with startups and small and medium-sized enterprises that wish to use those facilities and equipment to advance research and development, and by supporting the establishment of collaboration between those two parties.

■ Tsukuba Research Center
Tsukuba Research Center is located on a site roughly the same size as the Tokyo Dome and includes an outdoor testing site, a laboratory, an office building, an environmental analysis room, a biotope (research forest), etc. The center is permanently equipped with water supply and sewage facilities and large water channels that can accommodate large-scale Hydraulic Model Experiment, making it one of the largest facility in the construction consulting companies in Japan.

The goal of this project is to accelerate the creation and social implementation of new technologies through collaboration and cooperation with startups and small and medium-sized enterprises. In particular, we place importance on building mutually complementary relationships through joint research and technology verification with companies that have technologies that contribute to solving issues in the social infrastructure field.
Our Hydraulic Model Experiment facilities, environmental analysis equipment, outdoor testing sites, etc. can provide an advanced demonstration environment in the fields of rivers, disaster prevention, and the environment. By utilizing these, we aim to produce results with high social value by supporting the technological development of startups.
Building on our past joint research achievements and technological capabilities, we will further strengthen our efforts to develop social infrastructure and realize a sustainable society. Through open innovation with a variety of companies, we aim to create new value and build the future together.
