We have Added the "Forestry and Civil Engineering Sector" to our Construction Consultant Registration.
PACIFIC CONSULTANTS CO., LTD. (Address: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, President Executive Officer: Osamu OMOTO) has added a new "Forestry and Civil Engineering Sector" to its construction consultant registration as of October 1, 2025, completing the acquisition of all registered sectors. This will enable us to establish a system that covers all areas of construction consulting work in Japan and work to solve social issues in a more comprehensive and cross-sectional manner.
Japan has a forest area of approximately 25 million hectares, covering two-thirds of its land area, and a vast forest reserve of approximately 5.6 billion m3. In recent years, the multifaceted functions of forests have been reevaluated, and community development utilizing forests has been attracting attention from the perspectives of green infrastructure and Eco-DRR (ecosystem-based disaster prevention and mitigation).
The addition of the Forestry and Civil Engineering Sector is an important step toward realizing an integrated approach that goes beyond the boundaries of the construction sector to address global challenges such as carbon neutrality and biodiversity conservation. Forest management is not limited to a single specialized field; collaboration with multiple fields, such as urban planning, watershed management, infrastructure development, and the use of ICT, is essential. To date, we have built a track record in fields such as urban green spaces, watershed management, and smart infrastructure. By applying this knowledge to the forestry field and building a system that can address a wider range of social issues, we will contribute to the realization of a sustainable society.
