Agreement Signing Ceremony on Research into Maintenance Management Using Drive Recorder and Road Managers
PACIFIC CONSULTANTS CO., LTD. (Address: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, President Executive Officer: Osamu OMOTO), in the Senshu area (Kishiwada City, Izumiotsu City, Kaizuka City, Izumisano City, Izumi City, Takaishi City, Sennan City, Hannan City, Tadaoka Town, Kumatori Town, Tajiri Town and Misaki Town) (hereinafter, the "Senshu area"), has signed the Agreement to conduct a model project in the road field in the strategic management of regional infrastructure regeneration. (President and Representative Director: Shinichiro FUNABIKI) and Graduate School of Engineering, Osaka University on March 31, 2025.
The signing ceremony for the agreement was held at Kaizuka City Hall.
This research will use Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Co., Ltd.'s drive recorder (product name: "Dorareco Road Manager") to obtain data on road damage in the Senshu region through AI-based image analysis, and then has that data analyzed and examined by Osaka University's Graduate School of Engineering and our company, with the aim of leading to the development of systems such as "pothole appearance prediction," "pavement deterioration prediction," and "setting management standards."
