Notice of Call for Proposals for the FY2023 (JPN) "Infrastructure Development Study for Joint Credit Mechanism (JCM Feasibility Study (FS))" (Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) Project)
PACIFIC CONSULTANTS CO., LTD. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and Representative Director: Osamu OMOTO) As a commissioned project from Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) (Responsible Party: Global Environment Section), we will be carrying out the secretariat work for the "Infrastructure Development Study Project for Joint Credit Mechanism (JCM Feasibility Study (FS))" in FY2023 (JPN). As part of this, we plan to call for proposals for the "JCM Feasibility Study (FS)."
Outline of Application
The purpose of this Feasibility Study (FS) is to promote the dissemination of decarbonization technologies and products by Japanese companies and other entities, thereby achieving greenhouse gas emission reductions and JCM credits in the host country.
As a development after the completion of the FS, the project is expected to utilize the "Low Carbon Technology Promotion Project Utilizing Joint Credit Mechanism Mechanism (JCM)" (NEDO's JCM Demonstration Project) or a JCM project mainly funded by private funds (Private JCM). The projects selected for the FS, will be decided based on the proposals and through discussions between the review committee and government officials of Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI). The number of projects to be selected are expected to be up to about 12 (Total budget of 200 million yen).
Application Procedure
(1) Schedule for publication of detailed call information
Detailed information on the application guidelines, including the target applicants, application period, and related materials, is scheduled to be released between mid- and late April (Estimated April 24). The application period is expected to be about one month (until Friday, May 26).
