In Collaboration with Yahoo Japan Corporation, We Eeveloped a Customer Analysis Service that Utilizes "Search Data x Human Flow Data"
PACIFIC CONSULTANTS CO., LTD. (Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and Representative Director: Osamu OMOTO) has signed a partnership agreement with Yahoo Japan Corporation to promote the joint development of big data solutions, and has joined the "Solution Partner Program" for data solution services provided by Yahoo. As the first step, the two companies will develop a service that utilizes "Search Data x Human Flow Data" to understand the actual situation and factors of visits and non-visits at tourist spots and other facilities that attract visitors.
This service utilizes PACIFIC CONSULTANTS knowledge and know-how in tourism, transportation, urban development and big data processing to analyze search data and human flow data held by Yahoo (only statistical data that does not identify individuals) to provide unparalleled customer analysis services to government agencies, the tourism industry, commercial facilities, event organizers and others.
As a technical feature, previous customer analysis services were limited to analyzing "Search Data" and "Human Flow Data" separately, making it difficult to grasp the actual situation of "non-visitors" who searched with interest but did not actually visit. This service links and analyzes search data and human flow data, making it possible to analyze the attributes of "non-visitors" among people who searched for tourist destinations, events, etc., the factors that prevented them from visiting, and where they visited instead. This makes it possible to grasp the potential demand of non-visitors, identify information and content that should be provided more thoroughly, and provide evidence to consider promotion strategies and verify their effectiveness.
Starting with the use of the technology in the "Experimental Study Using Big Data" adopted by Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, the two companies will continue to study the practical application of the technology nationwide. In addition, the two companies will continue to develop various urban and infrastructure-related solutions that utilize big data.
