○ Release Period:
November 15, 2021 to late January 2022

○ "Tokyo Data Platform (TDPF) Case Study" Project *1
The Tokyo Metropolitan Government is promoting initiatives that use the power of data to solve social issues and improve the quality of life for Tokyo residents, including COVID-19 preventive measures, by combining and utilizing data from government and private sources. In addition, by implementing demonstration projects to create new services, the government aims to identify specific needs for data utilization and issues at the data preparation and distribution stages, and build the "Tokyo Data Platform" as a distribution platform for data held by government and private companies. This project calls for projects that will serve as case studies for the operation of the Tokyo Data Platform, and by implementing these initiatives, the government aims to further promote data utilization and connect them to the operation of the Tokyo Data Platform.

○ "Station Usage Area Potential Map" Initiative:
The "Station Usage Area Potential Map" utilizes people flow statistics data from "Nation-wide Movement Statistics"*2 to visualize, for the first time, in maps and graphs, "which stations are used by which age groups in which areas," something that until now was mostly known only through empirical rules. By visualizing the actual station usage areas of residents and visitors, it becomes possible to grasp the latent demand (consumption potential) for food and beverage, retail, transportation, etc. at each station, and aims to utilize this information in residential selection by Tokyo residents, location selection and advertising strategies for companies, and improved government services, ultimately contributing to improved convenience of urban services.

*2 "Nation-wide Movement Statistics" is human flow statistics data that combines PACIFIC CONSULTANTS' knowledge and know-how on social infrastructure with location information data (anonymized) of tens of millions of devices based on SoftBank's mobile phone base station data. The data is expanded to an estimated 120 million people nation-wide by combining it with the usage status of transportation such as railways and demographic data for each area.
