"Experimental Study to Improve Rambling Activities through New Mobility Vehicles in the Waterfront Area of Central Yokohama - Demonstration of Circular Traffic at Yamashita Park" to be Held
Park Line Promotion Council (hereinafter "PL"), whose representative companies are Taisei Corp. and PACIFIC CONSULTANTS CO., LTD., Ltd. (President and Representative Director and CEO: Osamu OMOTO), will conduct a demonstration project of "Circuit Transportation with New Mobility Experiences" in Yamashita Park, as well as a demonstration project of creating a comfortable space that will contribute to improving mobility and retention, with the aim of improving mobility in the waterfront area of central Yokohama (hereinafter "This Demonstration Project").

As part of the efforts sponsored by the Kannai/Kangai District Revitalization Council, This Demonstration Project aims to verify safety and coexistence with pedestrians when traveling with a new transportation experience (autonomous driving mobility service*) and enjoying the scenery along the "horizontal axis" (waterfront) of the city center waterfront simultaneously, as well as the comfort of public spaces with urban amenity features (artificial turf, furniture, etc.) introduced.
* About the autonomous driving mobility service "iino"
"iino" is an autonomous mobility vehicle developed by Gekidaniino G.K. (a wholly owned subsidiary of The Kansai Electric Power Co., Inc.) that can coexist with pedestrians at a speed of 5 km/h. Various types are available depending on the driving location.
