Announcement of Participation in the Task Force on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) Forum
PACIFIC CONSULTANTS CO., LTD. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and Representative Director: Osamu OMOTO) is pleased to announce that it supports the philosophy of the Task force on Nature-related Financial Disclosure (TNFD) and has participated in the TNFD Forum.
Regarding climate change issues, we supported the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) in 2019, and in June 2021 we declared PACIFIC CONSULTANTS GROUP 's decarbonization management, "Pacific Net Zero," committing to achieving net-zero Greenhouse Gas Emissions for our group by 2030 and contributing to achieving net-zero Greenhouse Gas Emissions in Japan by 2050.
Through our participation in the TNFD Forum, we plan to utilize our extensive knowledge and experience in consulting in nature-related areas such as forests, water resources, soil, and biodiversity based on our more than 70 years of experience in contributing to the development of social infrastructure, to advance the creation of a framework for appropriate assessment and disclosure of risks and opportunities related to natural capital and biodiversity.
