The Cornerstone of PACIFIC CONSULTANTS's Development
Our History from the Foundation to the Present
After World War II, with the desire to contribute to Japan's post-war reconstruction, the U.S. Corporation PACIFIC CONSULTANTS Consultants Inc. was established in September 1951 (Showa 26) with Eric Flor President and Antonin Raymond and Shiraishi Munenori as vice President, with its headquarters in Delaware and its Tokyo branch establishment within the Shiraishi Foundation Works in the Maru Building. The Headquarters began when Eric Flor, Antonin Raymond and others said, "Japanese engineers are excellent, so let's do consulting together."
Subsequently, U.S. Corporation PACIFIC CONSULTANTS Incorporated was dissolved and a Japanese corporation, PACIFIC CONSULTANTS CO., LTD., was establishment in February 1954 (Showa 29), with Fukujiro Hirayama as its first President.
For over 70 years since then, we have been deeply involved in the development of social infrastructure both in Japan and overseas, and have grown into a leading construction consulting company. Our company's history is the history of construction consulting in Japan itself. Since our founding,we have held the philosophy that “Technology is one truth and international. Let's make it a technology that can interact with the world.” and our belief in the value that comes from diversity remains unchanged.
PACIFIC CONSULTANTS' infrastructure management is a new model that combines management and engineering, involving private enterprises and leveraging their capabilities, and it is an approach that is unique to our company. Our goal is to be an "owner's consultant." First and foremost, we will continue to be our clients' "family doctor" and then their "specialist/general practitioner," and respond appropriately to any need.
With a frontier spirit, we aim to "Producing the Future" by confronting increasingly complex social issues. We will continue to take on new challenges in order to create a sustainable society and bring about new value and change.
