Establishment of the "On-site Disaster Management Headquarters" for Noto Peninsula Earthquake
Once again, we would like to express our heartfelt condolences to those affected by the Noto Peninsula Earthquake in FY2024 (JPN).
Immediately after the earthquake, we quickly established a Disaster Operations Support Headquarters (HQ) and a Disaster Operations Support Branch Office (Hokuriku Branch Office), built a system for sharing information and responding to disasters, and have been collecting information.
Two weeks have passed since the earthquake occurred, and in light of the scale of the disaster that has been grasped, we have decided to set up a new "On-site Disaster Management Headquarters" in our Toyama Office in order to respond to requests for disaster recovery support from related academic societies and associations, the national and local governments, etc.
Going forward, the On-site Disaster Management Headquarters will use digital technology to grasp the situation and support the activities of support teams operating in the affected areas, and will support the reconstruction efforts on site in cooperation with the support headquarters and support branch oofice.
